Safety at The Northwood Program is #1 priority, that is the reason why our founder Sam Sharma personally manages all operations & logistics to ensure 24x7 personal supervision of all program participants abroad.
Combined with our partners in India,Thailand and Costa Rica we have over 20 years of safety management experience and have enjoyed the trust of over 50,000 children. Our procedure standards follow international guidelines as stated by the international Red Cross and NOLS standards (National Outdoor Leadership School, USA - www.nols.edu).
We consult and work closely with health experts all over the world to keep our standards up to date. While participating in a Northwood Program educational trek you can expect students to push themselves physically and mentally within our safety standards which will result in self empowering, sense of trust and a new found courage and self confidence.
